Really sharp take on how O'Brien pulls off that conflicted privilege angle. Most actors either go full unlikable or too sympathetic, but theres something about playing a character who inherited everything yet still manages vulnreable moments that keeps audiences engaged. Reminds me of watching people in real corporate dynamics where the entitled ones ocasionally show genuine humanity.
Agree on actors going all in one way or another. I think it's way better character development when I feel for characters who seem shitty and bring some humanity, even if they are bad and you don't want to root for them. This movie did a great job of making you feel conflicted about both characters' motivations and decisions. It's a good call to bring up real corporate dynamics, since they seem prevalent in a lot of spaces.
