Scorecard, The best seat in the theater, a film legend's newest flick, new pod drop
How's your week been? We've spent ours constantly looking through twitter and cheering on our friends who have added "@Cannes" right after their name to let the world (at least film twitter) know they are indeed, at the Cannes Film Festival in France (arguably the most important film festival in the world).
Well, we are telling ourselves that we are cheering for them and not just jealous and bitter (we do the important work on ourselves here at S&C).

End credit thoughts
This is billed as a family movie, but we aren't sure it’s for young kids. The main character, Bea, is supposed to be twelve, and that might be the right age if you're bringing along a youngster. The comedy is mostly targeted towards a younger audience, but the subject matter of losing a loved one might be too much for young kids.
We thought the movie was funny, but there were grown men (dude in row E) who really laughed out loud.
Cailey Fleming (Bea) does a solid job in her performance if you consider the fact that she's supposed to carry most of the movie herself. She's also responsible from some of the cringiest lines that made us laugh when we weren't supposed to.
The all-star cast of voice actors does a great job making the movie fun, but never pulling you out of the story with their recognizable voices (shout out Steve Carell). We’re not getting Deadpool-level Ryan Reynolds but he’s still fun as hell and what you'd expect.
John Krasinski took a page from the Up script and tried to rip our hearts out in the first five minutes, and he kept pulling at our heart strings throughout the movie (side note - the composer who wrote the music for this movie also wrote the amazing score for Up).
This isn’t a must see in our book, but if you're going to watch it, go in with an open mind and let the little kid in you have fun.

You open the AMC app, the theater is empty - what seat are you picking?
New Mexico Drew - If I fire up the AMC app and every seat is available (except for seats H24 and H1 which are ALWAYS unavailable - what in the actual f*ck is up with that?) I'm going K12. As centered as you can get, but a little further back. I sat in row Q for Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, and it wasn't bad. Someone dare me and I'll sit in A11.
Eric - Seat J16 is hands down the best. Let me explain. DEAD Center screen simply doesn't work. Well, I say that because my posture is HORRENDOUS. I sit at an angle, like my entire body is slanted no matter how comfortable or flexible the chair. So I need to be stage right to accommodate for my slouching. Also, I didn't pick row H because the vibes are off in this theater. H feels just a bit TOO close. BUT if we get into K-Q territory? Forget it - might as well watch at home. Thanks for playing along.
Josh - This is an IMAX theater and I can tell you right now with my whole chest that, with all seats available, I’m staying the hell away from L17. My ears have never been more violated than they were while watching Civil War sitting in that row, in that seat, directly below a speaker (Sarah hasn’t been back to the theater since).
